ARPA, WINNER OF THE INTERNATIONALISATION AWARD AT THE 2nd IBERCAJA ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS: ‘SMEs THAT INSPIRE US’

ARPA has been awarded the Internationalisation Prize at the second edition of the Ibercaja Entrepreneurs Awards, ‘SMEs that drive us forward’ – an accolade that recognises the company’s international track record and its ability to develop projects in markets around the world from its base in Aragón.

The awards, organised by Ibercaja and Emprendedores magazine, were presented in Madrid at an event dedicated to recognising the talent, innovation and contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to Spain’s economic and social development.

For this second edition, more than 150 entries were received from 112 SMEs across Spain, doubling the number of entries compared with the previous year.

The Internationalisation Award was accepted by Clara Arpa Azofra, CEO of ARPA, on behalf of the entire company team.

From Aragón to the world

This recognition highlights the international focus that is an integral part of ARPA’s history and DNA.

Based in Zaragoza, ARPA designs, develops, manufactures, integrates, deploys and maintains mobile and modular infrastructure designed to operate in demanding environments and on mission-critical operations, including living quarters, hospitals and healthcare facilities, water treatment and supply systems, and specialised shelters, amongst other solutions.

Throughout its history, the company has carried out projects in more than 60 countries, working with organisations such as the United Nations, NSPA/NATO, Ministries of Defence, public bodies, NGOs and technology companies.

During the award ceremony, Clara Arpa emphasised the importance of maintaining an ambitious vision in order to compete internationally:

“To be able to compete on the world stage from Zaragoza, we need to aim high, with great perseverance, great enthusiasm and great pride.”

A tribute to the work of the whole team

The Internationalisation Award also recognises the collective efforts of everyone at ARPA who makes each project possible, from its conception and development through to its manufacture, integration, logistics, deployment and commissioning anywhere in the world.

This award joins a number of other accolades recently received by ARPA and reinforces the company’s commitment to an approach to industry from Aragón to the world, based on technology, innovation, sustainability and the ability to deliver reliable solutions in some of the most demanding environments.

We at ARPA would like to thank Ibercaja and Emprendedores magazine for this recognition and for their work in supporting and raising the profile of the Spanish business community.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to all the award-winning companies and finalists in this second edition of the “SMEs that move us” Awards, and in particular to Éxxita, SERMA, Anda Conmigo, MBA Kids, Sepiia and El Mercado de Martínez, which have been recognised in the various categories.

For ARPA, this award provides fresh impetus to continue growing, innovating and taking the engineering and industrial capabilities developed in Aragón ever further afield.
