Our mission is to design and manufacture sustainable solutions that change, or at least improve, the lives of those who use them, anywhere in the world. Comprehensive, innovative and rapidly deployable solutions to support any activity of any operator, anywhere. We go where no one else does.

ARPA STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

In 2018, Equipos Móviles de Campaña Arpa celebrated its 50th anniversary. Looking to the future with more projects and motivation than ever in its history, Arpa has become an international benchmark with sure steps, building a solid trajectory, accumulating experience and always without losing sight of the principles and values of its founder, my father, Antonio Arpa Romero. This is the motto that moves us: to provide with our designs and solutions access to water, food, hygiene, habitability, health, etc. to displaced groups or in precarious situations, either for work reasons or due to emergencies, catastrophes, conflicts, etc. And at all times bearing in mind the vocation of service to those who dedicate their lives to caring for people: any logistics solution for any operator anywhere in the world.

INTERNATIONALISATION:

Aware of the current challenges facing our society and the international community, Arpa's commitment is to facilitate work in the most adverse conditions: situations of armed conflict, shortages, famine or natural disasters of all kinds; that is why the company's only operational context is international, given that these situations cross borders and are likely to affect a huge diversity of people around the world.

QUALITY:

At ARPA we are committed to the quality of our products and services. The satisfaction of our customers and users is our objective and we do not understand any other way of doing things. Our aim is to focus on Total Quality and Continuous Improvement.

INNOVATION:

A key element to perform the activity in a dynamic and competitive context, ensuring market share. By innovating and developing new designs, ARPA wants to offer more and more benefits to its customers and end users and to obtain positive results. We want to encourage openness to evolution, willing to do better and better what we do based on the needs of our customers and seeking to contribute to sustainable social development.

Commitment to Sustainability and the Global Compact

At ARPA, sustainability is much more than a commitment; it is the cornerstone of our business and social strategy. We are fully integrated into an active and voluntary process of continuous improvement in the social, economic and environmental spheres, convinced that companies are key agents for transforming the world.

Our Alliance with the Global Compact and the SDGs

As part of this vision, ARPA is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. This alliance encourages companies to align their operations with ten universal principles related to human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption, thereby contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SDGs, born out of the 2030 Agenda, are a global roadmap that seeks to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. These 17 goals and 169 targets require collaboration between governments, businesses and civil society, and at ARPA we are fully committed to achieving them.

Our adherence to the Global Compact reflects our firm commitment to sustainability, social innovation and responsible economic development.

Leadership and Action

Clara Arpa, the company's CEO, has led this commitment both nationally and internationally. She has been president of the Spanish Global Compact Network and a member of its global board of directors for six years, becoming one of the most influential business voices on sustainability, the circular economy and the fight against climate change.

Under his leadership, ARPA develops innovative projects that promote energy efficiency, emissions reduction, responsible use of resources, and international cooperation, generating a positive and lasting impact.

Internal Actions and Recognition

To reinforce our sustainability strategy, we have a Sustainability Committee, an internal advisory body responsible for proposing, advising and promoting actions aligned with our values and commitments.

In addition, we have been awarded the RSA+ Seal by the Aragón Social Responsibility Board, which recognises organisations that excel in areas such as work-life balance, equal opportunities, volunteering and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.

What is the United Nations Global Compact?

It is a call to companies to align their strategies and operations with ten universal principles on human rights, labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption, and to take measures that promote the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs). Currently, with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 organisations, based in more than 60 countries and more than 70 local networks, the Global Compact is spreading the message that any type of company anywhere in the world — of all sizes and sectors — can play a fundamental role in improving our world.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

One of the greatest recent achievements in sustainability has been the approval of the 2030 Agenda and with it the Sustainable Development Goals. Do you know what they are about and how they came about? Humanity faces numerous challenges in ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities for development and well-being. In 2000, the United Nations adopted eight goals to meet the main needs of the poorest: the Millennium Development Goals.

• Promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women
• Reducing infant mortality
• Improving maternal health
• Combating HIV, malaria and other diseases

From the Millennium Development Goals to the Sustainable Development Goals Fifteen years later, 193 United Nations member states approved the 2030 Agenda, which sets out the Sustainable Development Goals, a new horizon with the most important challenges for human beings in the coming years. There are seventeen ambitious objectives, broken down into 169 targets, which require the collaboration of civil society and the public and private sectors, the success of which would mean a more equal and habitable world.

Clara Arpa, líder de la compañía, ha desempeñado un papel clave en este ámbito, siendo presidenta de la Red Española del Pacto Mundial y miembro de la Junta Directiva global durante seis años.
