ARPA demonstrated its capabilities in the field of H₂ during the launch of the Toyota Mirai and the Hilux FCEV prototype in El Cisne, whilst also taking part in the mobility trials with its own Mirai, refuelled with hydrogen produced at its own facilities.

Zaragoza, 30 September 2026. – Aragón once again demonstrated its potential in the field of new energy sources during the event held at the Zoilo Ríos “El Cisne” service station, where Toyota Spain and the Zoilo Ríos Group, in collaboration with ARPA, presented the Toyota Mirai and the Toyota Hilux FCEV prototype, both of which are hydrogen-powered vehicles.
The event brought together companies, institutions and representatives from the H₂ ecosystem. During the closing ceremony, the Regional Minister for the Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, Mr Luis Biendicho, highlighted the region’s potential to produce and distribute renewable hydrogen, thanks to its renewable energy generation capacity, its industrial base and the characteristics of the region. He also emphasised the need to make progress on supply infrastructure and on collaboration between businesses and the public sector.

An approach that ties in directly with the capabilities that ARPA demonstrated during the event. The Aragon-based company took part in the dynamic tests with its Toyota Mirai, fuelled with hydrogen previously produced at its own facilities, thereby bringing its expertise in H₂ production and utilisation to the road.
In the case of ARPA, it is worth noting that the company has designed and manufactured the hydrogen refuelling station for the El Cisne facility, which is designed to refuel hydrogen-powered vehicles at 350 and 700 bar, thereby catering for a range of mobility applications. This development builds on ARPA’s accumulated experience in hydrogen technologies and its engineering capabilities to address the generation, compression, storage and dispensing of this energy carrier.

The event, which was also attended by the Aragón Hydrogen Foundation, CaetanoBus, Zaragoza City Council and other institutional and business representatives, brought together vehicles, energy and infrastructure under one roof.
For ARPA, it also provided an opportunity to demonstrate in practice that Aragón not only has the resources to produce energy, but also the business sector and technological capabilities to transform it into real-world solutions for transport and industry.
